Goddess Redefined

Come into contact

Pour over me

Becoming

Replacing

A spirit of communion

Awakened eyes

Between two skulls

Into the skies

Bring me a horizon

Made of sunsets and of sin

And make for me an altar

To lay me down again

The sulfur of Spring rains

Sending Summer into bloom

Bringing light

Summoning sound

The place our spirit reigns

A gathering cloud

Soak me

With manifest destiny

Raising hell

And eager to harvest

Hunger tells

In eyes that barter

And wounds that heal

Consuming fires

Towers of stone

Building empires

No more robbing graves

To resurrect a broken hope

It lives, it stares right back at me

From behind your eyes

Invited in

For just a bite

So sink right in

Until the night

Comes back around

Drawing circles

Idly idolized

Ideally deified

Goddess Redefined
